The growing winter storm means long delays for travelers at Boston's Logan International Airport


(NECN) There were a lot of cancelled flights at Boston's Logan Airport on Thursday because of the storm down south.

The Fernandes family of Littleton is skipping out on the snow and headed to sunny Fort Lauderdale, but they are worried about the storm.

"We already got delayed. We're hoping for the best," said Jeffery Fernandes.

"We haven't got out yet, but if we do, I'll have a nice drink on the plane to celebrate," Stacy Fernandes added.

Some with early flights were able to fly out without any hassle, however, Logan's lines were short because so many flights were already cancelled. Those who were flying west were also able to fly.
