Veyance Technologies' Norfolk, NE plant has a new owner
NORFOLK, NE. (KTIV/US92) -
A Norfolk business is changing ownership, but employees are getting assurances that their jobs won't be affected.
Earlier this week it was announced that Veyance Technologies, which has a plant in Norfolk, was purchased by a German company called Continental. Company officials with Continental said they made the purchase as part of their plan to expand beyond the automotive business.
Veyance manufactures industrial hoses and conveyor belts. Continental said they're approaching the acquisition strictly as an opportunity for growth, which means the more than 250 people employed at the plant on Omaha Avenue will get to keep their jobs.
The deal still has to be approved by regulators. If it is, it will effect both Veyance plants in Norfolk and Lincoln.
