SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV)- We have had days this winter that were down right cold. Now, imagine not having a coat to wear.
The United Way of Siouxland teamed up with Staples Promotional Products to spread some warmth to those in need.
They were able to distribute 984 coats Friday at The United Way of Siouxland.
The coats go to more than 20 Siouxland for profit and non-profit organizations. It's great to be able to partner with The United Way and Staples Promotional Products to get these coats to distributed to the adults," said Susan McGuire, Center For Siouxland. "I think it's important because that tells people that we really listen to the needs of the community and we help the families in the community," said Marian Burnett, Crittenton Center.
How did they collect so many coats? For each click of the "like" button on Staples Promotional Products Facebook page, the company donated a coat.
