Muskies rally from 3-0 deficit to top Waterloo 4-3 in shootout

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Joel LEsperance scored the winning goal in a shootout, lifting Sioux City over Western Conference leading Waterloo 4-3 on Saturday night.

The Musketeers trailed 3-0 heading into the third period but the squad rallied behind goals from Jake Montgomery, Neal Pionk and Walterri Hopponen to force overtime.

After a scoreless extra sesssion, Hopponen and LEsperance provided the winning goals in the shootout.

The victory wraps up a perfect weekend for the Muskies, who have now won four straight.
