SIOUX CITY (KTIV)- The weekend's warmer temperatures brought a lot of Siouxlanders to the outdoors, and some even brought their four-legged friends along.
The dog run in Bacon Creek Park was full of playful pups excited for the chance to get outside.
Dog owners there said they were glad for the warmer weather to help burn off a little of their pet's excess energy from being cooped up inside, and even gave them hope that a warmer future is in store.
"When we come home every day from work, there will always be something a little torn up, or he'll just be ornery when we come home. I always try to give him a lot of bones in the winter just to kind of help him burn off some of that energy, but it'll be nice now that summer's getting here and we'll actually be able to go outside and run around," Kory Trudeau of Sioux City said.
Trudeau says he hopes the warm weather stays around sooner rather than later for both he and his dog's sanity.
