PHOTOS: Northwest Iowa community wears pink and purple to honor Chloe and Camille Binder

ALTA, Iowa (KTIV) - A northwest Iowa community is wearing pink and purple to honor two girls who were killed when police say the vehicle they were in was hit by a train.

It happened last Thursday in Alta.

The girls died at a Sioux Falls hospital the next morning.

To honor 4-year-old Chloe and 2-year-old Camille Binder, people were asked to wear purple and pink Tuesday.

These pictures are posted on a Facebook page to honor the girls.

Also injured in the accident, 37-year-old Heather Binder, a front seat passenger.

She was flown to a Sioux Falls hospital.

Her condition is not known.

The driver of the vehicle, 15-year-old Nathaniel Harmes was treated at a Storm Lake hospital.
