A Siouxland city official is stepping down to take a similar position

NORFOLK, NE. (KTIV/US92) - The head of the city of Norfolk's housing division announced recently that she will be stepping down this week.

City officials announced late last week that Sheila Miller has accepted a position as CEO of the Douglas County Housing Authority of Omaha.

Miller has been Norfolk's housing director since 1998 and has worked for the city of Norfolk in some capacity for 30 years. Miller's department was in charge of providing more than $1 million in rental assistance and housing rehabilitation grants last year in Norfolk.

Her last day with the city will be Thursday.

A timeline for naming her replacement has not been announced.
