Premier Bankcard was honored as Camp High Hopes' 2013 Volunteer of the Year Thursday.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Creating hopes for children, teens and adults with disabilities is the goal for Sioux City's Camp High Hopes.
But over the last year, one group has gone above and beyond to make that hope a reality.
Camp High Hopes named Premier Bankcard its 2013 Volunteer of the Year at a banquet Thursday.
The camp had over 200 volunteers that served in the last year, but Premier volunteered at a number of the camp's events last year, including Barbeque Sales, the Fall Open House and the Haunted Lodge Party.
Helping the camp and those that go there for fun is something that the group prides itself on.
"As an organization, we value volunteering throughout our community," said Steve Bull of Premier Bankcard. "We think it makes our community a much stronger place, and so we encourage all of our employees to participate in those types of things."
Premier Bank and Premier Bankcard has participated in over 90,000 hours of volunteer work over the last three years.
