Fourth annual Innovation Market

Thursday, the Sioux City Growth Organization invited Siouxlanders to bring their best and brightest ideas to the table.

Forty-four ideas were posted for all to see at the Fourth Annual Innovation Market.

"We're looking to help and support with additional contacts and things like that just to get some information to those individuals so they can grow their idea and ultimately walk away with some great prizes," said Becca Feauto, Innovation Market Co-Chair

Andy Stoll and Cheri Cosgrove were the speakers at the event.  They talked about their journey in the business world and what it takes to make it in the invention business.

"If you have an idea in your head of something that you want to make, it's never been easier to start and it's never been easier to find a global audience.  So if someone is out there thinking of an idea, has an idea of starting something, now is one of the coolest times to be alive to be able to do that," said Andy Stoll, Co-Founder of Seed Here Studio.

"You have to do your homework, they have to research, and they have to be patient because it doesn't happen overnight," said Cheri Cosgrove, CEO Belle Touche. The winner was supposed to receive a five-thousand dollar prize and start-up assistance.

But that prize was doubled thanks to Belle Touche, so the winner will actually be taking home $10,000 and start-0up assistance.

The five finalists were SUDS, Bloom Wild, Double D's Driving Service, Nest for Kitchen and Pushlee.
