Fire Chief says the cause of the house fires in Arnolds Park, Iowa is undetermined

ARNOLDS PARK, Iowa (KTIV) -

Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire Chief, Chris Yungbluth said the cause of the house fires is being listed as undetermined.

They say the houses were too damaged.

Monday, the fire heavily-damaged two homes in Arnolds Park, Iowa.

Smoke was seen coming from the home at 184 Park Place shortly after 3:00pm Monday afternoon. By the time firefighters arrived, flames were coming through the roof of the garage attached to the home. The flames had also spread to a home next door, at 180 Park Place.

It took crews from three fire departments two hours to put out the flames.

The home at 184 Park Place is a total loss. The fire did $25,000 worth of damage to the home at 180 Park Place.
