National Pancake Day is supporting children's health services in Siouxland

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

It's National Pancake Day, a celebration that benefits the Children's Miracle Network.

If you go to IHOP in Sioux City on Tuesday, you'll get a free short stack of their famous buttermilk pancakes. They're hoping you'll donate the money you save to CMN.

The cooks at IHOP said they're adding something extra to the pancake batter in honor of Tuesday's event.

"I put a lot of love and care in to these pancakes," said Jason Cobbs, Sioux City's IHOP Pancake Master. "A lot of extra hard work."

All funds raised will help support children's health services at UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's in Sioux City. All that money stays local, but free pancake day is happening nationwide.
