Unclaimed property in Nebraska

More than 37,000 names have been added to Nebraska's unclaimed property list for 2013.

And you can find out if you're on the list this weekend.

The State Treasurer's office is posting the information in a 40-page insert in the Omaha World Herald and the Scottsbluff Star-Herald Sunday, March 9th.

If you find your name, you can claim your money and there isn't a deadline to do so.

"We enjoy returning unclaimed property to it's rightful owners.  We returned over 11 millions dollars in unclaimed property last year. The average claim size was $616 and we encourage Nebraskans to check our website or check the publication in their Sunday newspaper," said Don Stenberg, Nebraska Treasurer.
