UPDATE: Spencer, IA police say no device was found during search of school

UPDATED: (at 5:45pm) Spencer, Iowa police say no device was found during a search of the high school building. Classes will resume on Friday as scheduled.


SPENCER, Iowa (KTIV) - A school official confirms Spencer Senior High School, Iowa students were dismissed from school at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

The official said someone reported a threatening message that was written in one of the bathrooms at the high school.

Spencer Police aren't releasing any information at this time.

Only the high school was dismissed early Thursday.

We'll update this story as soon as more details are released.
