Emergency responders learn better ways to save lives


SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) Emergency personnel from across the tri-state area are in Sioux City trying to learn better ways to help save lives.

The 2014 Emergency Conference started Friday at the Sioux City Convention Center. There are 420 people attending, including paramedics, rural ambulance services and volunteer firefighters.

"Not only educational.. they can network with responders from other counties it's a fun day for them. Plus, we have vendors presenting the latest equipment in emergency medical care," said Naomi Holtz, EMS Conference Coordinator.

The EMS conference continues Saturday as well.
