SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - Sioux City's on the move when it comes to housing.
Friday, city leaders shared some record-breaking numbers for residential construction in 2013.
It's up for the second year in a row, and is at the highest level in a decade.
A total of 107 housing units were built last year.
"There was quite a bit of residential growth this year. We continue to see that growth increase in continuing years with different developments that have been approved over 2013 and 2012 are near in completion or complete, so we would see that number continue to rise," said Chris Madsen, City Planner.
Sioux City's seeing more people interested in building condos, townhouses and duplexes.
Plus, the areas of the city seeing new subdivisions are in Leeds, the northside of Sioux City, Morningside and Whispering Creek.
