Bully Prevention will be the topic of an event in Allen, NE

ALLEN, Neb. (SUBMITTED) The Dixon County 4-H Junior Leaders, with the Allen FFA, announce that Nebraska State Trooper Keith Bell, will be giving a presentation on Anti-Bullying, on Sunday, March 16, 2014, 3:00 PM, at the Allen Consolidated School gymnasium, in Allen, Nebraska. The fee for this event is a donation(s) to the local food pantries (canned foods and monetary). This event is open to the public.

We all know that bullying is occurring, but it is important for all adults to understand that bullying does not have to be a normal part of childhood. All forms of bullying are harmful to the bully, the victim, and to witnesses. The effects can last well into adulthood.

Trooper Keith Bell has been in Law Enforcement since 1997, having been with the Nebraska State Patrol 11.5 years, in the Omaha Division. His job as the patrol's community service officer sends him across the Omaha metro area talking with thousands of students a year in more than 1,200 presentations. In 2012 Trooper Bell received the Service to Youth Award from the Nebraska Juvenile Justice Association, and has been on their Board 2013.
