Northeast Community College goes tobacco free

NORFOLK, NE. (KTIV/US92) - One Siouxland community college plans to go tobacco free.
Dr. Michael Chipps, President of Northeast Community College in Norfolk, Nebraska said that NCC will begin enforcing the tobacco free policy in August.
"What's important is that we need to respect everyone. In this case, the smoker, the tobacco user, as well as, all the other customers and students that we have at this college," Dr. Michael Chipps, President of Northeast Community College said.
The currently policy only restricts smoking inside college buildings and within ten feet of building entrances.
The new policy will be in affect for Northeast's campuses in Norfolk, O'Neill, West Point and South Sioux City.
