Exact cause of house fire in Leeds neighborhood may never be known


SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) The exact cause of a fire in Sioux City's Leeds neighborhood may never been known.

On February 28th, crews were called to this home at 4436 Van Buren Street. The fire was contained to the main floor living room, but smoke damage throughout.  The home has since been red-tagged.

James Brummond, who owns the home, says he was told by the city's fire marshal that the fire likely started near an electrical outlet.

However, because of the damage, an exact cause cannot be determined.

Brummond and his wife, were not home at the time of the fire.
