SCGO names Pushlee best startup at Innovation Market

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A Sioux City group focused on promoting startups in the area awarded two local businesses first and second place for best start-up businesses in the city in 2014.

The Innovation Market, a yearly event that names the best start-up in the community, featured five finalists.
The winner was voted on by members of the Sioux City Growth Organization.
The winner, an app named Pushlee, draws customers back in to gas station convenience stores, even though most customers skip the store due to the fact that you can pay at the pump.
The two in charge of starting the app say they're fortunate to live in a city that's so excited about new businesses.
"It's huge. Not only is it good for the local economy, the local economy, but it's also great to keep college students in the area, and to start businesses and have a dream," Blake Anderson, co-founder of Pushlee said.
They received a prize including $5,000 and free tax advice.
The second place winner, Sioux City Suds, won $2500 dollars.
