The Stars shot 54% for the game, including making five of ten three point shots. North was also 12-17 from the free throw line. Kennedy shot 44% for the game.

"It was amazing," said North junior Daniel Tillo. "Last year we came here and we were kind of scared of the big moment. This year everyone played really great. I'm excited. We're pumped for Friday. We can't wait for it to get here. We're ready to play."

North will play unranked West Des Moines Valley in the Class 4A semifinals on Friday at 3:15. Valley (16-8) upset top-ranked Dubuque Senior, 42-41, in another first round contest.
