DES MOINES, Iowa (KTIV) -

Another Republican, who's running for Representative Jeff Smith's seat in the Iowa House, has filed papers to make his candidacy official.

Kevin Wolfswinkel filed papers with the Secretary of State on Monday. He's a farmer, who lost to Smith in the June 2012 primary.

Back on February 28th, Republican John Wills, of Spirit Lake, filed his nomination papers to run for the House District 1 seat.

A third candidate has entered the race. A check of the Secretary of State's website shows Kevin Klaassen, of Sibley, Iowa, filed his papers to run on March 5th.

With three Republicans in the race, a primary election will be necessary. That's set for June 3rd.
