Pledge of allegiance will now be recited in every public school classroom in SD

PIERRE, S.D. (KTIV) - The pledge of allegiance will now be recited in every public school classroom in South Dakota.

South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard signs into law HB 1150 Friday.

It requires the pledge to be recited at the start of every school day.

A student could choose not to take part, but would be required to maintain a respectful silence while others recite the pledge.
