Have a safe St. Patrick's Day Weekend

While many will be celebrating the St. Patrick's Day holiday this weekend, officers will be stepping up enforcement.

The National Highway Traffic Safety administration says two out of every five deaths in crashes from 2006 and 2010 involved a drunk driver during the St. Patrick's Day holiday.

Here's what they suggest to stay safe:
Have a sober driver ahead of time, or call a cab.
Most of all, be sure you have a safe way home.
Don't let a friend drive drunk.
And if you see a drunk driver on the road, call the police. You might save a life.

Sioux City will be celebrating St. Patty's day with a parade. It starts tomorrow At 12:15 p.m. at 3rd and Iowa streets. It ends near Macbehr's on 4th street.
