Becky Gilbreath dropped a game high 23, while teammate Emily Neitzel added 22 as No. 20 Cardinal Stritch ended No. 5 Morningside's title hopes with an 82-71 win Saturday in the NAIA Quarterfinals.

Ashlynn Muhl recorded the double-double for the Mustangs with 22 points and 12 rebounds, but poor outside-shooting doomed Morningside.

After connecting on just 3-of-11 3-point attempts in the first half, the Mustangs were just 4-of-13 in the second half.

The Mustangs took an early lead in the first half, 7-4, but it was the last time the squad would lead the rest of the night.

Morningside ends the season with a 29-7 record.

College of Ozarks used a 28-8 run at the end of the first half to open up a 44-34 halftime lead and never looked back, handing No. 4 Northwestern it's worst loss at the National Tournament, 90-69.

Alli Engebretson scored 26 points to lead the Red Raiders.  Karen Hutson added 12 while Mackenzie Small recorded the double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Prior to this year, the Red Raiders had made six straight Fab Four appearances.  They end the season with a 29-5 record.
