Badgerow enters next phase of renovation

Posted:
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Construction has started on the next phase of a multimillion dollar project to renovate Sioux City's historic Badgerow building.

The sidewalks surrounding the downtown landmark are closed.

Owner Bruce DeBolt tells KTIV they're upgrading the elevators, sprinkler system, and the chiller and cooling system.

The sidewalks were closed to allow crews to lift materials through the windows.

DeBolt says now that a data center has agreed to move in, they're on the fast track to get this phase of construction completed in the next three to four months.

DeBolt declined to name the tenant for security reasons.
