SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Sioux City welcomes another Blue Zones work site to town.

The Catholic Diocese of Sioux City is now the tenth location in the area to adopt the well-being improvement initiative.

To become a Blue Zones Work Site, the Diocese's added a financial incentive program for joining the company wellness initiative. Through this, employees can receive preventive screenings and follow-up health coaching.

"My brothers and sisters who know how important this is to take care of yourself and we in the Diocese have a great opportunity to grow spiritually as well as physically and mentally," said Bishop R. Walker Nickless.

To help emphasize his point, Bishop Nickless also signed the Blue Zones Personal Pledge to live a healthier life during Tuesday's event.
