Man charged with impersonating a police officer is released on bond

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) A Sioux City man is out on bond, after police have tied him to three attempted abductions, over the past year-and-a-half.

Authorities say each time, 29 year-old Joey Alberts, pretended to be a police officer and tried to get kids into his vehicle.

He's charged with three counts of impersonating a police officer, three counts of enticing a child away, and two counts of indecent contact with a child.
