5th graders try their hands at high school science

It's not every day fifth graders get to go to high school, but Friday was special.

Elementary school students, in Sioux City, spent the day in high school labs for "5th Grade Science Day."

They took part in hands-on experiments, and even got to dissect cow eyeballs.

North High senior Michelle Brown said she enjoyed working with the youngsters, and sharing everything she's learned.

"Maybe, they'll want to take the classes later on in high school because most of them were like, 'Do you do this often? Which class is this?' so that's good," Brown said.

Fifth graders got to take part in experiments in many different science areas including physics, chemistry, and biology.
