The transformation is now complete at Briar Cliff University

The transformation is now complete at Briar Cliff University.

It took nearly three years and more than $11,000,000 for the completion of Heelan Hall.

Heelan Hall is the university's main academic center which now boasts 18,228 square feet addition along with an 8,000 square feet four-story Roth Atrium.

"The students love this space. At different times of the day, this space is very busy and active with students," said Bev Wharton, President"

The new Roth Atrium was named for business leaders Regina and Eldon Roth, whom have left a legacy at Briar Cliff University.
There are seven new general purpose classrooms which are all equipped with the latest technology.

Not to mention the building now contains state of the art nursing, biology, and chemistry laboratories.

Along with a sophisticated mass communications suite.

"I like it.  I embrace everything that they did for us as far as the student body.  As far as bringing in the construction over to build this academic area for us to study to hang out to chill,"said Christopher Young, Briar Cliff Senior.

Another upgrade to Heelan Hall was an energy-efficient geothermal heating and cooling system.

The school officially cut the ribbon on the new building at five o'clock Thursday night.
