More charges filed against man connected with attempted abductions in Sioux City

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) A Sioux City man faces more charges after police connected him to three attempted abductions over the past year-and-a-half.

29 year-old Joey Albert was originally charged with eight charges.  However, officials have now upped that to 15 charges, including enticing away a minor, assault while participating in a felony, and impersonating a public official.

In October, authorities say Alberts tried to lure an 11 and 13 year-old girl into this vehicle by saying he was a police officer.  It happened in the 2000 block of Court Street.  They say, before one of the girls could run away, Alberts fondled them.

Alberts is also charged with two similar acts in 2012.

An arraignment date has been set for next Friday.
