Long time Sioux City business owner Vance Pflanz has died


SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) A long-time Sioux City business owner has died.

Vance Pflanz, founder of Pflanz Electronics, died Thursday at the age of 75 after a lengthy illness.

Pflanz started out in the business as a TV technician working for the franchise, Team Electronics in the late 1960s.  A few years later, he purchased the business, broke away from the franchise, and created Pflanz Electronics.

Vance's son, Scott, will take over running the business and handling the day-to-day operations.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
