Daniel Hofmann, 23 Daniel Hofmann, 23
PIERCE, Neb. (KTIV) -  A northeast Nebraska man is behind bars in connection with a shooting death in Pierce back in 2011.

23-year-old Daniel Hofmann from Pierce, Nebraska is currently being held at the Platte County Jail in Columbus.

He faces several charges including manslaughter and tampering with evidence.

Hofmann is accused of killing Wesley Kuester in April of 2011 almost fours years ago.

At first investigators thought Kuester committed suicide by shooting himself.

However, a medical examiner later ruled that the death was the result of a homicide.
