Neligh, Neb. hopes re-banding project will bring more people to town

NELIGH, NE (KTIV/US92) - A Siouxland community is trying to market itself differently in an effort to bring more people to town both to visit and to live.

City officials in Neligh, Nebraska are taking part in a city-wide re-branding project. The Antelope County community is one of two in the state taking part in a project funded by the University of Nebraska Rural Futures Institute. The project will provide Neligh with marketing tools, such as a new logo and town slogan, which will be decided with input from the town's 1,600 residents.

Economic officials in Neligh say the re-branding coincides with a new 10-year comprehensive plan for the city, which begins next year.

City officials are urging everyone in the town to take part. They can find more information at the city's official website.
