MADISON, Neb. (KTIV/US92) - A Norfolk, Nebraska man has entered a plea agreement related to a house party shooting in Norfolk last winter.

25-year-old Arturo Raya pleaded no contest to two charges in Madison County District Court Monday, felony assault and attempted possession of a firearm by a felon, related to the shooting of Devan Key at a party in Norfolk last February.

In return, prosecutors dropped another felony weapons charge.

Prosecutors say Raya shot Key in the abdomen during a dispute, then fled the scene.

He was eventually arrested in Texas in July.

Both charges Raya pleaded guilty to carry sentences of up to fifty years in prison. He's set to be sentenced on May 16.
