Firefighters put out garage fire in Pierce, NE


PIERCE, Neb. (US92/KTIV) Investigators look into the cause of a fire that broke out in a garage in Pierce, Nebraska Tuesday morning.

Officials say crews were called out around 9:30 a.m.  It happened at the corner of Willow and Pleasant Streets.

"Upon arrival we found that the exterior of the garage was on fire, and was starting to impede the inside of the garage. We got an attack on it real quick and got it knocked down in no time," said Steve Dolesh, Pierce Fire Chief.

Fire officials said the damage to the garage was limited to exterior and minor damage was done to the siding.
