Potential changes for hospital in northeast Nebraska

TILDEN, Neb. (KTIV/US92) - The nature of health care coverage at the Community Hospital in Tilden, Nebraska may soon be changing.

Hospital administrators say the Hospital Board decided last week that their facility doesn't get the volume to support in-patient services.

They are recommending that those services stop this July 1st.

Hospital administrators say while the changes will mean the loss of some jobs, the hospital itself would not be closing.

The hospital is owned by the City of Tilden, so the final decision on the hospital rests with the Tilden City Council.

Their next meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday.
