4 people arrested, accused of cashing counterfeit checks at South Sioux City businesses


SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) Four people face charges, after police say they cashed several counterfeit checks at several South Sioux City, Nebraska businesses.

Police also believe the checks may have cashed in multiple states as well.

48-year-old Matthew Schincke and 33 year-old Amber Christensen are charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument and theft by unlawful taking.

26 year-old Robert Thorngren and 25 year-old Lacey Zakrzewski also face the same charges.

Authorities have additionally charged Schincke, Throngren and Zakrzewski with conspiracy to commit a felony and aiding a felony.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
