SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - The Sioux City Bandits have had a weird schedule this season. They played two games, followed by a bye week. They played one more game and had another bye week. The Bandits are back home Saturday to play Wichita.

This is an important game because after this weekend Sioux City will be back on the road for three straight weeks. The Bandits are 2-1 while Wichita is undefeated. The Wild came to the Tyson Events Center last year at 8-1, and were beaten soundly by the Bandits 46-21.

Saturday's game should be a classic battle.

"This is a great matchup," said Bandits head coach Erv Strohbeen. "Coming to town, you got the defending champs. We won two league championships in a row and they took it away from us last year. Our guys are really hungry to get this game underway Saturday night, with a 3-0 team coming town. This game features the number one offense, the Sioux City Bandits pretty much lead the league in every offensive category. Wichita leads the league in every defensive category so it's a great matchup on paper."

Saturday's game kicks off at 7:05 at the Tyson Events Center. The Bandits won't be home again until May 3rd.
