Trial dates set for two men charged in a double homicide near Deloit, IA


Trial dates have been set for two men accused in a double homicide near Deloit, Iowa last month.

26-year-old Michael Schenk and 19-year-old Jayden Chapman each face two counts of first degree murder and one count of arson.

Schenk pleaded not guilty to the charges.  His trial is set for October.

Chapman has not yet to entered a plea, but a trial date has been set for June.

 A third person, 36 year-old Erika Dains, also faces the same charges.  She has not entered a plea in the case.

Authorities say the bodies of 80-year old Marvin Huesling and 81-year old Alice Huisenga were found after a fire in a trailer home on Milford Road outside Deloit on March 10th.

Criminal documents show they had both been shot.
