Bandits hand Wild first loss of the season 48-45

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - Scott Jensen threw for 204 yards and four touchdowns and the Bandits defense stood tall as Sioux City handed Wichita its first loss of the season 48-45 Saturday night.

Trailing 14-8 with just under six minutes to play in the first quarter, Bandits running back Mario Melvin scored from two yards out to put
Sioux City up 15-14.

Seven minutes later, it was fellow running back John Bentley finding paydirt opening up a 22-14 lead for the Bandits.  Sioux City would take a 29-24 lead into the half.

Tied at 45 with 2:36 to play Braden Wieking kicked a 19-yard field goal to lift the Bandits to the 48-45 win.

Sioux City is on the road the next three weeks, traveling to Omaha, Bloomington and Salina.
