Sioux City man charged with impersonating a police officer pleaded not guilty

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) A June trial date has been set for 29 year-old Joey Alberts of Sioux City.

He faces 15 charges, after police connected him to three attempted abductions.

Authorities say each time he pretended to be a police officer to lure the kids in the car.

Among the charges he faces include enticing away a minor, assault while participating in a felony and impersonating a public official.
