Muskies go with "new do" for Clark Cup Playoffs

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - There's not a lot of "growing" going on with the Musketeers.

"Quite a few of the guys can't grow a beard and most of us that can, it's just kind of patchy. It doesn't look very good," Forward Adam Johnson said.

But even the Muskies that try...

"Some of the guys use Just for Men to make it look darker, too...make it standout a little," defenseman Blake Heinrich said.  "I don't. This is natural.

So the team put it to a vote.  A beard or a new hair style for the Clark Cup Playoffs.

"There was a split decision so our captains decided to go with the dyed hair black," defenseman Bobby Nardella added.

Now players didn't want to leave the fate of their hair in their teammates hands, so they turned to pros to get the perfect "do" for the postseason.

"Their reaction to the darkness of the hair of how black it was.  They weren't really expecting it to be black-black," Hair Stylist Karlee Evans said.

And the best look so far?

"Trevor Olson's this year," Johnson said.  "He's got the sideburns and the black hair. It looks pretty funny. It looks good."

All one color. "All For One."
