Woodbury County sets aside money fix roads to CF Industries expansion site

The haul roads leading up to the project continue to take a beating as construction continues on CF Industries

Allison Avenue, 225th and 235th Streets all lead to the site and trucks go back and forth all day long.

The county engineer went before the Woodbury County board of supervisors to talk about potential plans to keep the roads in good shape for drivers, but the possibilities don't come cheap.

The board agreed to set aside $600,000 from master permit fees and local option sales tax that will go to the upkeep of these roads.

"We're looking at different options to stabilize the base and give an improved, dust-free, more all-weather surface on the road than we've got right now," Woodbury County Engineer Mark Nahra said.

The county engineer said he should have a better idea of what will be the best option for the amount of money they have to spend with in two weeks.
