Prosecutors won't object to Sapp murder trial change of venue

Posted:
ORANGE CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Prosecutors say they don't object to a change of venue request for the trial of an Orange City, Iowa, daycare provider charged in the death of a three-year girl.

33-year old Rochelle Sapp has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges.

Earlier this week, Sapp's attorney said because of extensive publicity Sapp would not have a fair trial in Sioux County. Prosecutors have asked a judge to choose a location that is fair to Sapp, but also to the victim's family and supporters who wish to attend the trial.

A judge hasn't ruled on the change of venue motion.
