SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - New homes for Habitat for Humanity are taking shape on the west side of Sioux City.

The city is offering help to try and fill those homes.

Habitat for Humanity has four homes for sales in Riverside on an old school site.

The Habitat for Humanity is looking for families to fill these homes and have partnered with the city to help those families get funding to afford them.

"It's important because the families that we are serving with our program are ones that a lot of the time fall into the gap.  So, they don't qualify for low income housing. They might make too much for that but they are also still struggling with finances so our program helps fill that gap," said Katie Roberts, Executive Director.

The funding through the City of Sioux City is for home funds and Neighborhood Stabilization Program funds.
