Weather advisories all over Siouxland

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Saturday evening, southeastern portions of the viewing area had severe thunderstorms which produced some hail and contained strong wind gusts.

Through the overnight hours as well as for much of Sunday, rain and storms have been moving across Siouxland.

Sunday has also been on the breezy side with a sustained northerly wind between 20 and 35 miles per hour gusting up to 45 miles per hour. The windy conditions have resulted in reduced visibilities due to blowing precipitation.

Our highs occurred early in the morning (40s/50s) and the temperatures have been dropping throughout the day resulting in the rain changing over to snow.

There is a chance that some areas could experience some thundersnow.

We could see snow accumulation up to an inch or two for much of the area and places west of Sioux City could see up to three inches of wet snow. This weather system should move out later tonight but it will be chilly.

KTIV's Beverly Perry will have the latest on News 4 at 10.
