Muskies secure second straight road win, take 2-0 series lead over Omaha

Brandon Hawkins scored the game-winning goal with 10:31 left in the third period and the Musketeers defeated Omaha 2-1 on Sunday.

With the win, Sioux City takes a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series.

Jared Thomas kicked off the scoring in the first period with a goal just over 11 minutes into the game.

The Lancers equalized in the second quarter off the stick of Tyler Vesel before Hawkins netted his second goal in as many games to give the Musketeers the win.

Kyle Hayton had 33 saves for Sioux City, who returns home with its fourth one-goal win over Omaha this season.

Sioux City will look to close out the series on Friday. Puck drop is at 7:00.
