UPDATE: Dakota City, Neb. residents and Dakota County Rural Water users now have water restored


DAKOTA CITY, Neb. (KTIV) - Residents in Dakota City, Nebraska and Dakota County Rural Water now have their water back.

The Dakota City Administrator Brent Clark said as of 2:50 p.m. water had been restored but a Boil Water Advisory is still in place. 

He said to vigorously boil water for one minute for drinking and cooking use or use an alternate source of water until sampling confirms no further bacteriological contamination has occurred.

Clark said Dakota City and Papio Rural Water is testing the water and is working with the Nebraska Department of Human Services.

DAKOTA CITY, Neb. (KTIV) - Dakota City, Nebraska residents are without water again Monday morning.

Dakota City officials said the same transmission line that broke on Saturday, broke again Monday at 4:30 a.m.

They said as of 4:50 a.m. water was disconnected to residents in Dakota City.

They said they are working to fix the issue.
