Greg Hansen has been hired as the new head football coach at South Sioux City High School.
SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) -
South Sioux City High School has named their next head football coach, Greg Hansen. Greg will take over the program following Matt LaFleur’s resignation allowing more time outside of football.
Hansen spent the past four years at Centura High School as the head football coach where his team made the Nebraska Class C2 playoffs the last two years, losing in round one each time. He spent the seven previous years at Stanton High School.
The South Sioux City Athletic Department noted his knowledge in strength and conditioning, experience in building youth football programs, and ability to build high school football programs as the qualities he brings to the job.
Hansen will also serve as a strength and conditioning coach and a physical education instructor. Hansen has coached in football programs in all levels in Nebraska and Iowa including stops at Omaha Central, Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson, and Sioux Center.
