Warner: IRGC decision doesn't alter Hard Rock Hotel & Casino timeline

Thursday's decision to deny an extension of the Argosy Casino's gaming license helped shed some light on the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's future.

Sioux City Entertainment President Bill Warner says their focus from the very beginning was getting the project completed on schedule. He says Thursday's decision by the IRGC just confirmed that they can stay on track. "I think the decision today is obviously just a little bit more clarity for us, but it doesn't alter our timeline as to when we can open," SCE President Bill Warner said.

Right now, Warner says he's not ready to to release the exact date they plan to open. But, he says it will be some time this summer.

The Hard Rock will have about 525 positions to fill and as of now, they've received more than 1,500 applications for jobs they've already posted online. "The interest has been strong and my guess is as we continue to move closer and closer to opening, it's going to get stronger and stronger as we go," SCE President Bill Warner said.

Warner says they've already hired more than 10 people to be part of their management team. But, he says he expects the bulk of the jobs to be posted just a few weeks out from opening.

He also says the Hard Rock will open up their employment center, in Sioux City, sometime within the next 30 days. They will also start dealer training pretty soon.
